Adon-related writing
Adon has been a major character in my writing for years. He's a world-jumping adventurer singleton, arrogant, mischievous, playful, intimidating, even sinister at times, - depending on his mood. Living for thousands of years gets to you, sometimes.
He's basically on a quest to learn the magic systems of every world that's been written. Of course, he's not going to actually succeed, as worlds are created faster than he can learn them, but at least it's something to keep him busy. His major apprentices currently include: -Raleigh Field (from the Saurus incident; human) -Dormeth (a slithzerikai from his native homelandland - Exile [also known as Avernum]) -Quenderon (a fallen apprentice who was banished to an archipelago-world with no memory or powers after trying to kill Adon.) -Andor (from the world Yarin; human, mage, and trident-fighter) -Madan (another apprentice from his native Exile) Adon is now deceased, though much of his three-thousand-year existence remains unchronicled. After his unfortunate demise on the world of Mote, he grew increasingly obsessed with returning there. As more and more of his attempts were thwarted, he finally fell into depression and jumped to another world of which he had no knowledge. He lasted there almost two weeks before having all the magical power he had gained over the millenia drained from him due to his ignorance of the world's magic system. He then lived out the rest of his (much shortened) life in a prison cell, before passing on his amulet to Raleigh and giving up. | Question 6 - A very short story for a thread over at spiderweb. Involves Adon and a Dikiyora.
